Azerbaijan and UAE’s Masdar company sign several agreements on renewable energy sources (PHOTO)
BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15
The signing ceremony of four memorandums of understanding between Azerbaijan and the UAE Masdar company on cooperation in renewable energy production was held in Baku, Trend correspondent reported at the conference of press dedicated to the inauguration ceremony of the Garadagh solar power plant with a capacity of 230 megawatts.
A memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of integrated marine renewable energies has been signed.
The document was signed by Azerbaijani Deputy Energy Minister Samir Valiyev and CEO of Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi.
In addition, a memorandum of understanding on renewable energies and energy efficiency was signed.
Vice President of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Hijran Valehov and CEO of Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi signed the memorandum.
Executive director of Azerbaijani investment company Ulvi Mansurov and CEO of Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi signed a memorandum of understanding on electricity generation from municipal solid waste.
In addition, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in renewable and clean energy in the economic regions of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur was signed.
The document was signed by Director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy Tabriz Ammayev and CEO of Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi.
