Applications are invited for a Permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Electrical Power Systems Technology and Control in UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland now wishes to make a permanent academic appointment in Electrical Engineering in the area of Electrical Power Systems Technologies and Controls. The appointee will have a strong track record of research and achievement in fundamental scientific areas that underpin the design, analysis and control of power system technologies, and will complement and support existing expertise relating to the integration of high levels of renewable energy, smart grid applications and control. distributed energy resources.
The appointee is expected to have the qualifications and experience to deliver high quality research-based teaching and learning up to Masters level, contributing to Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering electricity, in particular with regard to renewable energy systems, electrical machinery and power electronics in the context of sustainable electricity systems. The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active personal research program, publish in leading international journals and conferences, and seek research funding opportunities while participating fully in the programs and academic activities of the school, college and university.
The appointee will be located within the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and will be expected to become a leading figure within the international electrical systems research community, build and maintain a research team of international significance, and interact with other disciplinary fields within the University. Salary: 95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor Above The Bar (7943) €55,951 – €88,601 per year
The appointment will be made according to the scale and in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Finance.
