You will join our Electrical Engineering group within the School of Electronics and Computing at the University of Southampton – one of the largest and most powerful research groups in the UK carrying out research on dielectric materials and insulation systems, high voltage and related phenomena, as well as electrical power systems and sustainable energy production.
It is essential that you have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in power/electrical systems or equivalent professional qualifications and experience and experience in modeling, simulation and algorithm design in the field of stability, control and protection of electrical systems. Experience working on estimation/control/protection issues related to renewable energy systems is desirable.
It will be necessary to travel to project meetings, workshops and dissemination activities across the UK and sometimes overseas.
The position is full time, fixed term until 06/30/2023 due to funding restrictions.
